Aniline Blue- C.I. No. 42755. Water soluble. Acid dye component of Mallory's triple stain. Used for staining connective tissue fibers beneath epitheliums within glands and muscles. Colors collagen fiber dark blue, mucous and cartilage matrix a light blue and nerve tissue lilac. May be used as a general counter stain in conjunction with a red nuclear dye. Geimsa Stain, certified - A mixture of methylene blue, azure and eosinates of methylene and azure for use in the differentiation of blood cells in sections containing bone marrow or other hemopoietic tissues and for blood smears. Erythrocyte cytoplasm stains pink. The granules in basophils stain blue, those in eosinophils stain bright orange, and those in neutrophils light pink or grey. 5 g.
