Standard Cryo Ultramicrotome System - Complete ultramicrotome with liquid nitrogen cryogenic system built in.  Designed for sample preparation in optical, electron and atomic force microscopy.  Includes, zoom stereo microscope, diamond knife and all the attachments and tools needed for starting room and cryo temperature ultramicrotomy. 

Section thickness from 25nm to 5µ in 20 steps. Cutting speeds from 0.2 to 4 mm/sec. Operating temperatures from room to -115ºC. Cryo temperature stability ±1°C. 5 liter Dewar. LN consumption: 1.5 lit/hr. Instrument dimensions (without microscope): 38 x 38 x 19cm. Weight 18 Kg. 120V 100W. Dewar and valve: 37cm tall, 28cm diameter. The LN coupling hose is 76cm long.

Essential Ultramicrotome - Identical instrument to #22415 but without the stereo microscope and external cryo components.  This option lowers the initial price if you have a suitable microscope and only room temperature ultramicrotomy is needed.  This ultramicrotome can be used with a standard boom mounted stereo microscope.

The external cryo components are the LN Dewar, valve assembly, LN coupling hose, the cryo insulating chamber and the electric warm plate.  Internally, the instrument contains all the cryo systems and controls.  The external cryo components can be added any time later.  The instrument is tested prior to shipping with the cryo components.  The diamond knife and all the tools and attachments listed with item #22415 are included.

Separate Components Prices - Buying the Essential Ultramicrotome (#22417) and the other components separately is the same price as the complete systems (#22415 and 22416).  The Vibration Isolation Platform is not included in the systems.

External Cryo Components - These parts are:  the LN Dewar, valve assembly, LN coupling hose, the cryo insulating chamber and the electric warm plate (120V, other voltages on request). Adding  them to the Ultramicrotome (#22417) makes it identical to the instrument described as part #22415.

Zoom Stereo Microscope - 7 to 45 magnification with 10X eyepieces. 100mm focusing distance. Fluorescent ring illuminator 120V (other voltages on request). Includes the microscope mounting frame designed specifically for this ultramicrotome.  It provided freedom of adjustment for microscope position, distance, tilt and lateral swing.  Also includes a free stand to use the microscope independently from the ultramicrotome.
