Standard Rotary Shadower - A necessity for shadowing rough or "hollow" replicas. Rotation of a replica at 10 rpm in the horizontal plane
during shadowing eliminates loss of detail. The rotary shadower has a 10 rpm motor which rotates an aluminum platform. Two spring clips on the platform securely hold a 3" x 1" glass slide supporting
specimens to be rotated. A clip on top of the motor housing holds a 2" x 2" replaceable glass slide which protects the glass bead insulators on the 8" leads from deposits of evaporated metal and carbon. A
solid aluminum base gives stability to the unit. Please specify type of vacuum evaporator used when ordering. |

60840 |
Variable Speed Rotary Coater (Shadower) with Platform - This variable speed unit, which rotates in the horizontal
plane only, is excellent for coating SEM specimens where multiple evaporation sources are used and uniformity of coating is not critical. Equipped with the same motor and motor housing as the tilting model,
it requires the same D.C. power supply, which gives the platform a continuously variable speed from 3 to 120 rpm. This unit may also be used as a variable speed rotary shadower in transmission electron
microscopy, if only one evaporation source is used. Unit sold without power supply. |

60825 |
Tilting Variable Speed Rotary Coater with Platform - Compact coater, specifically designed to prepare scanning
electron microscopy specimens; features simplicity of design and ease of operation. It can be installed in (and removed from) any vacuum evaporator in just seconds. The tilting motion through 90o,
with associated processing, plus use of a moving top shield and a fixed vertical shield, ensures uniform coating of the specimen being rotated. Without these shields, uniform coating is impossible to obtain,
a fact confirmed by densitometer readings of coated specimens examined with TEM. Such uniformity of coating thickness is essential for accurate interpretation of resulting micrographs. The motor is enclosed
in a vacuum-tight, lightweight metal housing, thus eliminating pump-down problems associated with D.C. motors in vacuum. Operation requires a 0-15 volt, D.C. power supply outside the vacuum, which gives the
platform a continuously variable speed from 10 to 120 rpm. Instructions included. Unit sold without power supply. |

60925 |
Variable Voltage D.C. Power Supply - Specially designed for use with the variable speed rotary coaters #60825 and 60840. The unit
prevents excessive voltage from reaching the motor. As an additional safeguard, the unit is fused and current limited. No fragile printed circuits. Has a three-prong grounded plug. Mounted in die cast
aluminum box. Operates on 110 volts, 50/60 cycle current. |
$435.00 |
